  I am hugely disappointed in the amount of work getting done. You basically wasted 20 minutes - all of the time I gave you. Plus you have not been keeping up with your responses. You now need to go back to doing responses in your notebook. I expect to see something every other day. I am unhappy that you are trying to deceive me by pretending to do work. Please be more responsible and let's get work done.

  Tell me more about the book. Is it full of short stories or one long story? Did you finish the one you were reading? What did you think of it?
  
  Why do you think people like scary stories and movies so much? You would think that people would want to avoid being scared but they ride rollercoasters and skydive and do many scary things. Why is that?

  That is not a whole lot of thought or work for over a week. I am very disappointed in the lack of effort I see from you. I would like you to stop wasting time and get to work. The work you produce is a reflection of you as a person. I don't think that you would want people to see you as either lazy or unintelligent. You have a lot of great gifts and you need to use them. I want you to show me that you can work hard and I want to see all that great thinking that is going on upstairs. I will be sending a note home to let your parents know that you are falling behind in all your work.

  You told me you are reading Scary Stories. What is the best one that you've read so far? What made it so scary?
  
  In your opinion, why do people like scary books or being scared? People spend a lot of money on these types of books or movies, but being scared isn't really fun! I hated waking up in a cold sweat and seeing monsters or things that weren't there. But why do people enjoy this so much?
  
  What is the scariest thing that happened to you in real life?
