I teach math and science for future elementary and middle school teachers. I love my family and love my job. Most of all, I love my Lord who took my place on the cross.

Most of my students are reading a lot of books, and their enthusiasm for children's and adolescent literature is very contagious.

This was not as good to me as I was hoping it would be. This is definitely a case where the movie could potentially be better than the book. However, this is all just my own opinion. There were times that it reminded me of the first, second, or third Star Wars episodes. I'm probably just not into the science fiction genre.

This book was good, but I didn't find myself falling in love with the characters. It was nice that it was a murder mystery. Most of the books I've read lately have not been of this genre.

It was like a very long Hatchet. There were a couple of parts that had me on the edge of my seat, but it was long. Some of the sentences were huge! Other than that, it was a fairly easy read. I liked his confession and realization that God is in control of everything and our constant companion.

A very good book about a middle school boy who doesn't look like every one else. This is the story about his fifth grade year, his first year to attend school.

Hoo-boy, that's a good book. I love Grandma Dowdel. I found myself a little melancholy as I read the epilogue. I'd read more of these if they were written.

This book was okay. It was a little depressing along the way, but ended well. It's about an orphan who somehow survives life's misfortunes to succeed.

I have trouble imagining some of these tales being acted out by children. It was pretty good at teaching what things were like in medieval times. The rhyming stories were my favorites.

It was a little slow for me until about the midway point, and then the story just flowed. Suspenseful at times. Frustrating at times.

This book was great! There were several ponts in which I laughed out loud. Down home country humor in a small town. One of my favorites, and I'm looking forward to reading the third book.

What a series of enjoyable tales of a boy and girl spending one week each summer at the grandmother's house. She is a character and participates in many small town antics.
