Megan Crunk’s BFF Yvonne is pregnant with a dragon baby. How is this possible? Sean explains, but really I just think it’s cool. I mean I never thought I’d find dragons sexy until I read his first book. I really feel for Yvonne, not only is she dealing with being raped, but now she learns about dragons – by the sumptuous Ms. Aoni’a revealing herself in the woods – but also has to deal with an untenable pregnancy.
In comes the wizard…Fred. I now think all wizards should be called Fred! I’m not so sure about him in the beginning, but he really grew on me. Fred has a solution to Yvonne’s little dragon problem, but as always there is a catch.
In this sequel we learn more about Meg, and why Garrett is so attracted to her. Aoni’a cryptically tells her that when she is ready, she will learn the truth.
We also follow along with the vampires who are threatening Meg and her dragon friends. I’m a big fan of vampires and don’t really relate to the ones in this book, BUT I think it is very refreshing to have a different take on them.
We also learn about the dragons who are trying to rule the world again. Seriously, when has ruling the world ever worked out. Usually the armies get bogged down in Russia… No Russia here, but they do overreach.
I’m curious about Max. He was Meg’s old boss. You’ll find out more about him in this book.
I don’t want to give anything away, because it’s so much more fun to read along and find out on your own.
I will say that Meg and Garret need a sound proof room, because she’s a bit of a yeller!
That’s what makes Sean’s books so much fun though. They are sexy, and smart, adventuress, and have lots of great villains.
The Will of the Darkest One is a fun read. ”
