****************************************************************************...**************************************************************************** The book the Grace of Silence really struck me by surprise. I didn't think I would like the book at all, but once I started to read it I could relate to Michele and her family throughout the book. I had great respect for her family being a black family in an almost white neighborhood in Minneapolis. They stayed calm through all the harsh criticism and kept their heads high for all the neighbors to see even when no one treated them with respect. This book had shared heart-ships that the family had throughout their lives, but their family always stuck by each other through good times and bad. This book really surprised me and it may just do the same for you.(see more)

This book is more than what the cover appears it to be. Its a good to read rather if your ethnicity is of color of not. She tells how her life was shaped around discrimination, cruelty and secrets. She tells what she been through but to educated her readers to look pass those "downers" that comes apart of life and "kill it with kindness". Most important the book as for us to be more, do more,...This book is more than what the cover appears it to be. Its a good to read rather if your ethnicity is of color of not. Learning from where your family started and how it came for you to be here and how things are today makes a more clear understanding of who you really are and your family. (see more)
