Now it is coming back to me. I will have to check out the Colfer book. I picked up Divergent after you and then another friend mentioned it and literally just finished. It was pretty good but I don't know if I am hooked enough to read the second one. I'm curious what you'll think of the Maguire books - they're definitely considered more of an adult book. I preferred Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister to Mirror, Mirror.
If you can get your hands on some fractured tales by Donna Jo Napoli books you might really enjoy those - Bound and Zel are good but very "artsy". There is also a whole series ( by different authors) called Once Upon a Time. I think Storyteller's daughter was my favorite there.
West End is pretty good. Mrs. Sobel has been out sick for a few weeks but she is getting better and should be back soon. The play has started up early this year and I have been having fun with Mr & Mrs. Scott at the rehearsals. Still I can't wait for next week when we have Thursday and Friday off :)
You must be a mind reader. I was working in the library after school today and was thinking how much I missed your after school visits. I haven't read the Divergent series but I have heard of them. When did you read Hunger Games? I can't wait to see the movie when it comes out and was thinking of rereading the 2nd book to get ready. I haven't read any new kid's chapter books recently - I have been rather distracted by a couple of adult books. However, I always thought you would like the Tail of Emily Windsnapp series but I can't remember if I actually ever suggested it. What about Island of the Blue Dolphins or Beastly?
It was wonderful to hear from you.
Hope you're doing well!
