Hi!! My name is Jeannette and there are a million different things to know about me. First of all, I have been married to my best friend and high school sweetheart for over 7 (almost 8!!) years. We have two beautiful little girls together ages 7 and 3 (almost 4). I am a full time student (18 credit hours this semester) majoring in elementary education. My hope is to be a teacher at my childrens school so I can still be close to them. I work at a local craft store teaching the cake decorating classes. I love my job so much that it feels like a treat to get to go to work. I also do a ton of baking out of my house when I have the time. I read to the girls constantly and plenty of my own reading on the side. My girls both read a ton on their own. My oldest has been reading since she was 3 and she is reading at a 6th grade level even though she is only in 2nd grade. I have to ground her from books instead of the tv!!

I developed this shelfari account for one of my classes, and I think it is going to become one of my favorite sites!! I mentioned before that I do a ton of reading on my own, and I wasn't joking! Over the summer break I was able to average about 4 novels a week. I will read just about anything. I love classics, mysteries, fiction, romance, and even some biographies and autobiographies. I will try just about anything, and I am one of those people who won't stop reading a book half way through just because I don't like it. I will always finish a book that I have started, even if it is a few weeks after I last put it down. I cringe when I am reading a poorly written book, but it doesn't stop me from becoming consumed by the story.

I hope this intro hasn't been too long. I look forward to meeting new people, discussing books, and hopefully getting a lot of great book ideas from everyone! « less
