Joshua Afubo was born in 1952. Then called Bitegeko, he fought as a professional boxer. His pursuit as a boxing world champion had previously taken him to the 1972 Olympics, in Munich. However, his career ended fatefully leaving him very disappointed, after two years. He spent the next ten years as a merchant sailor, which took him around the world.
He likes writing fictions, with a view to share experience-based solutions to mystical situations.
The inspiration for his latest novel is drawn from a variety of sources. He has blood relation to the monarchy of Kiziba that was abolished in the sixties. Therefore, the over five-hundred-years-old Royal Drum mentioned in the story, for instance does actually exist, and so are its spiritual implications in the lives of the people. Its origin and a few other things have been changed in the story.
He is born again, since 1992; a pastor and prays for miraculous healing of hopeless cases. From the wisdom grasped, he says: Apology/repentance and forgiveness are issues of outmost importance for obtaining spiritual and physical health for individuals and their communities (according to his experience backed up by biblical teaching).
He is happily married to Rebecca, and they have three children, David, Koku, and Linda.
