Hi Chris,
That's great to hear. There were some really entertaining stories in there I remember. It was a bit hard to just read one at a time. Hope your leg is healing well.
Cheers Kelli
The other title for the Deborah Rodriguez book is The Cup of Friendship.
Hi Chris - you can see how often I get on here! Sorry! I did own The Poisonwood Bible when we were living on Grand Cayman but I don't think I kept it with all our travelling. I would love to read it again though. I borrowed another Deborah Rodruiguez book from the city library last week, thinking it was a sequel to Coffee Shop in Kabul, but it was the same book under a different title - can't remember now what it was called though! Enjoy the Easter break! :)
Hi there Chris it's so good to see on-line movement in the shelves. i have just had a very enthusiastic mum come in to loin our group. I have sent her a friends request and then I will direct her to join the group. So waiting for this break to come so I can dive into my reading.
Hi Chris,
This sounds like a book that Amy (Grade 6) would like. She really enjoys these autobiography style books. Having read it, do you think it would be appropriate for her?
Thankyou Chris - and just in time for holiday reading - maybe I could sneak in a little reading time before then :)
I see you have read Little Coffee Shop in Kabul - it has been on my 'to read' list for ages! Do you happen to have a copy of your own that I might be able to borrow over the holidays? If any of the books on my shelf appeal I'm happy to loan them to anyone too. :)
Hi Chris, it is thanks to you and Charlie that we too are devoted fans of the very clever Nanny Piggins - this is my first real look around Shelfari & I said to Christine today that I plan to get to one of the get togethers one of these days!!
Hi Chris. Thank you. I would love to follow you - just not quite sure how, but I will work on it. Still finding my way around. Was great to catch up with you last night. Now to update the shelf...
PS. Would love to sit next to you at lunch time and play handball!
Hi Chris, you made me laugh!!! I am dying to start the book ... that is my mission tonight!! If you see me at school with plaster on my nose you will know what happened!! Have a great night. It was great to spend last night in just lovely company. Talk soon Fiona
Thanks Chris, I decided it was just a computer and wasn't going to beat me. Found the bookshelf and did a little dusting etc. I read the book to Brodie a few weeks ago. Louise had read it to them in class and he wanted to read it again. Thats what Nanna are for. Loved doing it with him. All the best Connie
HI Christine,
Nice to meet you last night. I look forward to reading your book about friendship. I know what you mean about not enough hours in the day.
Cheers Kelli
Hi Chris, i see you own burned alive , could I possibly borrow this at sometime. Very interested in its origins as my eldest Duaghter worked in Saudi with girls who were 'Honour burn't'.
Cheers Christine
