Reading has always played a huge part in my life and unfortunately there are not enough hours in the day to read everything I would like to. My true loves are biographies, autobiographies, British Crime novels (ie: Peter May, Peter Robinson, Ian Rankin, Stuart McBride) and books that explore other cultures. I adore Children's books and even... more »

    Hi Chris,
That's great to hear. There were some really entertaining stories in there I remember. It was a bit hard to just read one at a time. Hope your leg is healing well.
    Cheers Kelli

Hi Chris - you can see how often I get on here! Sorry! I did own The Poisonwood Bible when we were living on Grand Cayman but I don't think I kept it with all our travelling. I would love to read it again though. I borrowed another Deborah Rodruiguez book from the city library last week, thinking it was a sequel to Coffee Shop in Kabul, but it was the same book under a different title - can't remember now what it was called though! Enjoy the Easter break! :)

Hi there Chris it's so good to see on-line movement in the shelves. i have just had a very enthusiastic mum come in to loin our group. I have sent her a friends request and then I will direct her to join the group. So waiting for this break to come so I can dive into my reading.

    Hi Chris,
This sounds like a book that Amy (Grade 6) would like. She really enjoys these autobiography style books. Having read it, do you think it would be appropriate for her?

Thankyou Chris - and just in time for holiday reading - maybe I could sneak in a little reading time before then :)

I see you have read Little Coffee Shop in Kabul - it has been on my 'to read' list for ages! Do you happen to have a copy of your own that I might be able to borrow over the holidays? If any of the books on my shelf appeal I'm happy to loan them to anyone too. :)

Thanks Chris, I decided it was just a computer and wasn't going to beat me. Found the bookshelf and did a little dusting etc. I read the book to Brodie a few weeks ago. Louise had read it to them in class and he wanted to read it again. Thats what Nanna are for. Loved doing it with him. All the best Connie
