I teach 10th and 11th grade English at Oxnard High School. This is my 9th year at OHS, and my 10th year of teaching. I am an avid, multi-genre reader. I strongly encourage all my students to read daily, and to foster the importance of reading daily I always have an outside reading book and read when they read. I prefer an actual book to books on audio or on a Kindle; I like to hold the actual book in my hands; I feel that that is part of the story, too. There's a reason the author choose the cover they did, and I want to pay homage to that decision. « less
