“Lockdown by: Walter Dean myers was a good book, it really kept me interested. This is something many students should read. This books connects to Realism in so many ways! Lockdown is a 4/5 stars and I think more people should read it for fun rather then for school. Lockdown is about a kid name Reese whose been in a juvenile facility for awhile now and he's trying his hardest to get out, and many people notice that. Reese is in juvenile for breaking into a doctor's office and taking prescription pads for a drug dealer who lives next door. The drug dealer took everyone that was involve in the crime down just to get a deal. Reese doesn't want to spend his whole life in jail like some of the other kids, and some of those kids would try to get Reese in trouble. Reese really loves his sister Icy and really wants to help her pay for college when she gets older. Icy is his main motivation and he's not going to stop for anyone!”
