A Message from Barbara Jean


Reading for me is a passion and a great stress reliever! I can remember my first grade teacher Mrs. Poindexter (R.I.P.) telling the class that reading can take your imagination to faraway places. For me this has always been true. I have accumulated so many books, and I can't imagine getting rid of my books. I feel that they are a part of my legacy.

As a college professor I like to share important articles and books with my class. I stress to them that you cannot be an informed educator unless you read constantly the latest research and best practices in your chosen field of education.

My choices for reading vary as you can see from my bookshelf. I love to read biographies, but I also like the scandalous stories from Gwynne Forester. « less
