Oops..my fault. The post is in the "Readers of YA Fiction" group. You would have to join the group in order to see the post. I can copy the post and email it to you.

I am glad you can make use of my shelfari. I hope that more aspiring teachers from the Cortland program will make and maintain a shelfarie account because it would be great to share reading selections and upcoming book news.

I don't know if you saw this in one of the YA groups, but here is a link to discussion about upcoming releases in YA.

Thanks Karen. This has been on of the best tools that I have utilized. My entire future classroom library is on here and I mark books that I want to add to it. I am glad you are finding it useful. I wish your outstanding library was shelfaried!

It is not due out until September, but Amazon has it listed for pre-order at $10.42. It is on my shopping list.
SD's website has a brief note posted about the book as well.

It was different- I liked it! Used it in my Fem. Fantasy presentations this year because of the proganist. She rebels against the controlling "brethren" and "sisterhood" to try and figure out her own identity. I think I heard Jenn Kirchoff describe it best : the movie "The Village" meets Scarlet Letter.

I have added a few more. I have been doing reviews lately. I did a few more yesterday, and I am going to do some today. I want to have them all done by the time break is over, but I have to re-read a few of them because I cannot remember anything about them. I just know I enjoyed them haha

This might be a good site to use for our YA Lit class...what do you think?

Thank you, Dr. Stearns! I have a ton more books to add once I have more time. I am really enjoying this site. If you want to add books to the group site, you should be able to click the edit button for books on your shelf and choose the option to also add it to the group shelf. If you have any trouble with it, just let me know. :)

    I meant to ask...

For my site, I could really use some of the pics you took this weekend at the conference. Please let me know when and where you upload them. Let me know if there is anything else you need from me for Tuesday.

Hey Karen, I did see your Vokis today and got a good kick out of them. What a great little tool especially for, I think, a middle school classroom. I will try it out and put something up on my wix site which is coming along nicely I must say. I've been obsessed! haha. I also want to experiment with Jing so I'll try and get something done before Tuesday. Speaking of Tuesday, according to your Voki (haha) the class is first meeting in the library for an intro to smartboards?

Karen, I HAVE played around with this a bit, but I'm not sure yet whether I want to continue. I'll vote on the list you sent out though; I have read most of them.

Hey Karen...I've finally signed up. Later tomorrow I'll sit down and really go through my books (I love going back through them in my mind). Right now I'm reading a Nora Roberts book because I really need an escape into a simple, guilty-pleasure book. I use the visual bookshelf on facebook, but I like this better. How fun would this be for students?

Hi Karen! This site is awesome! I still have my LibraryThing account but this site is a bit different. Seems more flexible! I love it! Thank you for inviting me! I've sent it to all of my friends. Fabulous way to keep a book club with my friends and family who live far away!
