I love mystery books. My favorite mystery author is Agatha Christie. I've read all of her fiction books and short stories. However, I enjoy other mysteries too. My favorite are "locked door" mysteries, but I also read the occasional hard-nosed police cop book and the friendly, cozy mystery. I dislike the use of supernatural elements in mysteries.
I also enjoy science fiction and fantasy.
I'm trying to broaden my reading horizons, so I am working on reading all the books on Time Life's 100 best novels (from 1923 - 2007 I think). I've read about half of them thus far, and have enjoyed most of them. When I'm done with this list, I plan to start reading the most frequently banned books.
I also enjoy books on science, health, fitness, and other non-fiction topics.
These days, I go to the library and pick out a pile of books from the mystery section, and a few books from the Time Life list. I am both an avid and a fast reader, and get through books quickly.
I am recording the books I read as of January 2009.
I'd love to hear book recommendations from others.
