The past several years I've been reading more. I'll read a book more than once if it's truly excellent, always finding something new or just relishing in the rereading of certain passages. While I enjoy collecting books, downloading ebooks is very convenient. There is no replacing the print, paper and binding of a book, however. Must be... more »

I am new to Shelfari and am open to followers. I have recently published the first in the series of four. The Series is entitled "The Centurion of Time" and it is about the legend behind the cursed soldier that speared Christ. It is full of history, myth, religion, war, and metaphor. The main character finds tragedy and must go on a journey through the eons of the earths to find confidence, peace, and regain his own soul
Synopsis: Have you ever considered what your life would be like without a soul? Would you even feel alive? The subconscious version of the mind would revert to the remaining survival instinct. When a young farm boy finds love unexpectedly, he does his best to protect her; a twist of tragedy entraps his life force as his body remains, blackmailed into service for his Oriana’s salvation.
Violent ends begin the cursed afterlife of the centurion who thrusts the final blow into Jesus Christ. The Archangel Gabriel becomes the ongoing catalyst as he creates events that bring about Armageddon. Fallen angels attempt to flout the missions of the Army of God. Raised on roman myths, the centurion's knowledge emphatically alters as he is thrown into a world he never knew existed. Over time, the soulless leader begins to lose himself inside an indestructible body that is no longer his own. Eulogy of the Centurion is the ongoing sermon of an immortal that ironically feels no longer alive and the commemoration of the losses he experiences.

Thanks for the friend request. Yes I consider myself fortunate in owning a bookshop, lots of hardwork though and never enough time to read any of the books !!! Persue your dream, the only reason we ended up in this boat is moving 1200km to a new home and just by luck spotting a bookshop for sale and we managed to buy it. Will never look back though, just wish I could take a 6 month holiday to read, read and read some more :)

Ann, I'm new to Shelfari, and didn't see what book this note was attached to so I am assuming it's "Love You Forever". It IS a great story, and Robert Munsch is one of my favorite children's authors, although he's usually funny, this one is endearing!

Hello. I see you are reading Last Night in Twisted River. I am almost finished. So far I like it. My favorite of his is A Prayer for Owne Meany. Take care, and have a great day.
