The Wrong Side of the Tracks

The characters in the book really saved it. It was poorly written, and needed a good editing to fix stupid grammatical mistakes. The characters in the book really saved it. It was poorly written, and needed a good editing to fix stupid grammatical mistakes. The plotline was a bit cliche, and moved a bit too fast if you ask me. BUT. The characters were incredible. The relationship between Ben and Stephen was what made this book worth reading and what makes me want to read the second book. Ben and Stephen remind me of a rougher version of Ponyboy and Johnny from the Outsiders. They have a close bond that goes without being said, and I just loved seeing them interact together.

The Social Experiments of Dorie Dilts: Dumped by Popular Demand (The Social Experiments of Dorie Dilts)

I absolutely LOVE this book. I'm dying to read the next one. The plot line, which I thought was going to be totally unoriginal and boring, was actually exactly the opposite. The girls' personalities are a bit cliche and stereotyped at first, but as the book progresses, the characters have more depth slowly added to them. I also loved seeing the romance of Thalia and Apollo built up through her random flashbacks, and I can't WAIT to find out what happens with that. The suspense was done perfectly, and honestly, it looks like a stupid little kid book, but don't judge a book by it's cover! You might be pleasantly surprised. ;) Seriously. It's short, easy, and wonderful. Read it.

    The Wedding Planner's Daughter

This book was very cute and really grew on me by the end. The humor in it was cute and relateable. However, it's a great, short read for a rainy day if you want a few laughs here and there, and I definitely plan on reading the other books in the series!

The End of Sexual Identity: Why Sex Is Too Important to Define Who We Are

This book had such an amazing concept. As a Christian, it's always very uncomfortable to explain my views on homosexuality. This book had such an amazing concept. As a Christian, it's always very uncomfortable to explain my views on homosexuality. However, Janell Paris does an amazing job of describing what the big issues are concerning this issue, and how it's gotten blown up to something it shouldn't be. I never thought about how labels are such a big part of sexuality, probably bigger than the actual sexuality is. A very in-depth book with a lot of good points, ideas, and Scripture support. This book has definitely made me think twice, or maybe five times, about sexuality and how to deal with it. Great read.

I absolutely love Stacy London, and What Not to Wear. I always thought Stacy was hilarious, but after reading her book, I realize how much depth she has. I loved her fashion blurbs, and how she explained why certain looks worked and why others didn't. Instead of trying to memorize all the rules by watching the show, I have them right in front of me. Plus, great bonus, she added designers at the back that might have what you're looking for style-wise. Her book was funny, cute, and real, just like her. A great, easy read.

I also liked how they played into the Zelda-Link romance, and the pictures were very LoZ-esque. However, I hated how they divided the book into two parts. I also am not a huge fan of graphic novels, but this was pretty good and I enjoyed it a lot.
