Have you read this book I'm trying to find? http://quechop.livejournal.com/42503.html#cutid1

I thought I'd read more than this. :-)
I share an intense love of books with my husband and close friends. I'm a native Floridian and have seen snow, but I've never felt an earthquake or the dry heat of a desert. I love stormy weather (that... more »

I wish I could remember what Millennium's Eve was about....it's probably been 10 years since I read it. Sorry that I couldn't help you more!

    The Ancient One says

"There is a place where the sidewalk ends
    And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermind wind.

Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.

Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.
    "

suburb of Detroit. You're not on the coast, that is slightly safer. My aunt moved from Altamonte Springs a few years ago. I never got used to the taste of the water. You are used to it, to me it tasted and smelled like sulphur.

Would be delighted. As I child I loved Hurricanes. Never saw one where I would have been responsible for the property. As long as my dad was taking care of things it was o k. Where are you from? I am from Miami.
If you reply, and I don't answer right away, I must leave for some errands. Back later.

Have you read The Wedding by Nicholas Sparks? I loved that story, read the library book, then went out and bought the paperback.

Do you like Christian mysteries? I just started reading Colleen Coble's books. The series I'm reading takes place in the UP of Michigan. Being a Michigander, it caught my interest. I enjoyed A Cry In The Night. Next I'm reading Without A Trace.

I'm re-reading The Purpose Driven Life. I read it when it first came out, but I'm at a different place in life now, and it has new meaning for me.
