    Welcome to the group based on the book 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die.
    There is a general explanation of the group under the discussion thread GROUP GUIDELINES.
    The books of the month (BOTM) that the group is reading are pinned to the top. May BOTM are;
    1. Choke by Palahniuk, Chuck
    2. Dr. Zhivago by Boris Pasternak
    3. Titus Groan by Mervyn Peake
    4. Works of Poe
    We are also starting something new. It will be a Long Read consisting of books from the list that are greater than a 1000 pages. The group will be starting with War and Peace by Tolstoy.
    We are choosing June’s BOTM right now if you would like to join us please indicate your choices. The finalists will be posted in 7-8 days.

    Hey, Tara. I firmly recommend not only adding Eternal Seduction to your to-be-read pile, but move it to the top. I totally loved it. I haven't read Lover Mine yet - it's one of those books that released in print before releasing for the Kindle so I haven't had a chance to get it yet. That's a major downer. I hate when publishers do that. Doesn't seem very fair to me, but it's all about the almighty dollar, I guess. I admit, I've had my doubts about the Xhex/John pairing since it became obvious that was the way it was going, so I'm pleased to hear they're good together. I can't wait to read it!

    Your avi - that looks like the same guy that we often see with chocolate on his fingers. He has such a broodingly sexy face. He also looks a little bit like craig horner from Legend of the seeker.
    Did you think those Rhonda thompson books were just ok? I wasn't blown away by the first one and haven't read the other 2. I was hoping that they would improve.

    Hi Tara :)
    Sorry it took me awhile to get back to you. Yes, I'm reading Conspiracy In Death this month (April). I'm hosting an In Death reading challenge on my blog to encourage myself and others to finally catch up in this series!! I hear Conspiracy In Death is a favorite of many, so I'm looking forward to reading it... probably next week.

    As for Charlaine Harris' works... would you believe that I have the first seven or so Sookie books on my shelf but still have not read them. Yet I picked up the first Shakespeare book from the library and read the whole series (only 5 books) in two months. I loved it very much. From what I understand from other book friends, the Shakespeare series is a little heavier or darker than the Sookie series. I hope you give it a try. I still plan to read the Sookie books, by the way.

    Hey Tara,
    I've read the first couple (maybe three) of the psy/changeling series. I don't have them on my shelf yet - I haven't added many of the books that I read before my kindle and I haven't made it back to the series since Angel's Blood. I'm enjoying that series so much that I fully intend to return to the psy/changeling series. I really like Singh's writing style and imagination. I remember really liking the first few books of the psy/changeling series, too. I hope to make it back to that series soon (though I figure I'll have to start again as it's been so long).

    Hey, Tara! Thanks for the friend request! We have a lot of books and series in common and I look forward to seeing more of what you read and hearing your thoughts on them. I noticed you have a few books rated that I was pondering reading, and I think our tastes are very similar, so I'm pleased to see you enjoyed them. Thanks again!
