A cook and a chef? That's great. I can follow a novel with a thousand characters introduced in thirty pages but I cannot follow a recipe. I have a friend who keeps telling me that if you like food in books you have to read Proust but...I can't say that I feel up to that.

Are you a Deborah Kerr fan? I notice you've read some George R. R. Martin. I never have; can you tell me anything about his books?

Glad you enjoyed the review. Tim O'Brien is excellent. I just read French's In The Woods, which was great too.

I thought it was a great movie and I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy the book as well. They have decided to make a U.S. re-make of the movie calling it Let Me In. I'll see it, and probably like it, but I don't think it needs to be re-made to begin with.
I'm not what you would call a Twilight fan - just not my kind of thing...

I put The Painted Veil movie on my Netflix list, but there are lots of movies ahead of it already, so it will be a while before I get to see it!

I really liked the book also. I know many weren't fans of it. I thought for the topic the author did a good job. I am wondering if the movie will be as good. I just don't see how they are going to pull it off too but I will go see it and see what I think. Have a good holiday

Hi there! I'm just dropping by to welcome you to The 100+ Book Challenge. The idea of the group is pretty much self explanatory - try to read 100 or more books in a one year period. If you do have any questions, please feel free to send a message to me or Tenia. In the meantime, good luck reaching your goal!
