I only read books that I find interesting. If I don't like the back I don't even pick it up. I am a very visual person. I get drawn in by a cover. When I started reading it was all about historical romances because that was what my mom had read. When I joined a local book club, it opened my eyes to more kinds of subjects. I still like romance but I am not into the hot and heavy scences anymore. A little goes along way in my book now. I have been sticking to the light mysteries with a bit of romance within the last couple of years. And I am going through some great authors. I think as of now my favorites are Janet Evanovich and Charlaine Harris. I just like the way they write and portray their characters.

I am the oldest of 6 kids, and a nanny. And though it doesn't seem like it, I hated to read when I was younger. I didn't get into reading until I was in my early twenties. My exhusband starting hunting again and I had to find something to occupy my time, so I picked up a book and was hooked. I love the fact that I can go to other places in my books and enjoy new people. « less
