Jennifer, It would be a pleasure talking with you about books and writing. Yes, I have been, for way too long, writing---staring into space, working on, pouring over---a children's book with the goal of being published. My main problem is that I am constantly being distracted and drawn away by other story ideas. I have no problem with inspiration, I see stories everywhere, it's really a focus issue. Also, I think it's a novice issue as well. I am not familiar with SCBWI. What type of writing have you published?I visited your shelf and added more books to my already ambitious shelf.lol. I have been wanting to read River of Doubt for a while, can't believe it wasn't on my TBRS. I also added Come on, Rain!. Have you read Boycott Blues: How Rosa Parks Inspired a Nation by Andrea Davis Pinkney and Brian Pinkney? It is one of my favorite children's books, you can check out my review if you'd like.Right now I'm thoroughly enjoying reading The Birth House by Ami McKay. Looking forward to hearing from you.Happy reading and writing, Debra
