A freind of mine just mentioned "The Sunne in Splendour" so I checked Shelfari to get some more information; and I found you are reading it! I'd love to hear your thoughts when you finish it, before I add it to my ever-growing to-read list.
    Peace,

    Jennifer,
I love your likes, dislikes and reviews! A few of your reviews speak my mind as if you were channeling me! I never thought I could be a vegetarian (I still don't!), but after reading "Eating Animals" I now work hard to find "humane" meat and I pretty much stay away from chicken. I love your take on the Pulitzer Prize Committee with regard to "Tinkers." I often feel like these committees pick the driest, slowest writing by the cleverest wordsmith - which does not make the best writer/book.

As far as good Pulitzer winners, I recommend "The Known World," or "Olive Kitteridge" (a bit slow, but very well done).

I also recommend the Booker Prize winners and short-listed books for great ideas for good lit. Try David Mitchell - "The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet" or "The Cloud Atlas."

Finally, if you like reading to that child in your profile pic, you might be interested in checking out our fledgling book group, "Best Read Aloud Books."

    Pura vida,
    Jeff
