Hello Kathy! I would love to be a co-administrator. Thanks for asking me. There so many interest groups (for example, video games) on Shelfari now, that I think it's hard for people to find reading groups. I wish Shelfari would create an interests section.
I wish the Thirty Years and Up group were more active. :(
Sorry, just saw your comment...I'm long since done with it now but like the Alienist, it's slow at first and then picks up about 3/4's of the way through. Seems like overkill on the buildup at first but then kind of seems worth it at the end.

"The Brothers Karamazov" is probably my favorite. (I really liked the chapter on the Grand Inquisitor.) I recommend it a lot, but I suspect most of them are frightened off by the length. I just bought "Anna Karenina" and plan to start it soon. I've heard it's excellent.
