So creepy. Usually books can't scare me, but this one was so sparsely written that you could fill in a lot of the blanks with your own imagination. That is when I get scared, like the "Blair Witch" movie was the scariest movie I ever saw, but really nothing happened. What about the naked people in the basement that were slowly being eaten, how scary was that scene. I was terrified. Check out the Hunger Games, another look at a possible future.
Still have The Girl who Kicked the Hornet Nest on my shelf to read. The bookstores do not have any of the books I want to read so I guess I will have to order them.Remember White Tiger first although I feel you may like The Reliable Wife better.
Hey CamilleFinally read Child 44. You recommended it to me ages ago. I enjoyed it. Now I want to reread One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich which I read as a teen and really loved.Thks for a good suggestion. Ang
Yes but thought then, as now, that it was one of the best books I had read in a long while.
