I have been reading a great deal this past week -- We had an all day rain on Sunday, which was just a perfect time to curl up with a good book. I chose Maeve Binchy's newest, Heart and Soul. Again, I was caught up with the characters and couldn't put it down till I finished it. Have you ever read any of her books? They all take place in Ireland.
I read the Guernsey, etc. for my book club - We met today for the discussion. Everyone agreed (for once) that it was a great book. Isn't is nice to read something that leaves you feeling better? There were so many books the other members have read and recommended that I don't know where to start. I wish I were a faster reader. Do you think those speed reading classes are worth it? And do those speed readers really read and understand everything?
Molly SIt is very difficult to choose just one. Of course, I liked Juliet (who wouldn't) she is so funny in what she says and does. I think I liked Isola for her odd quirks and her description of herself. Why did you choose this book? The title almost put me off.
Hi Molly SAre you enjoying the Guernsey etc. I just finished it today and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was easy to read and I felt as though I knew the characters in the book. Who is your favorite?
It's all about the speed reading.
Yay! You've provided me with yet another reason to delay studying!
Yeah! I knew you'd eventually sign up. Now Kelley and I can stalk your reading, too. :) Cute pic of Darcy, by the way.
