Great explanation. I don't read much historical "fiction" thought maybe you had began reading historical biographys-of which I have a few. I've read one of Manning's books and thought it was good. Evangelicals seem to respond to him and a lot of his books have been about woundedness and recovery. I think he is still Catholic but may have married. In the past i think he had a major alcolholism problem from which a lot of his understanding of woundedness and the process of recovery and health was derived. NavPress published 2 or 3 of his books.
Lindsay you read an interesting mix of books. What is the "signature" B. Manning is talking about? Is the White Queen historical fiction?

Some of your titles can be interpreted two ways. For instance "Raising Perfect Children ..." does that mean, as we all know, that you have "perfect "children and need help how to raise them, or that you have ordinary children, which we all know is not true, and want to raise them to be perfect? :)Don't get sunburned.
