Cool mang. Yeah, I love those books. I've read the first four of them twice now. When the 5th comes out I'll probably re-read them again and then dive in. Hope everything's going well for you and Dot. Are you guys coming home for T-giving? I was looking through a list of 1000 books to read before you die and House of Leaves was on there. I think I'll ask for it for X-mas. Anyway, taker easy.Nick
For the most part it's pretty good mang. Ya we need to choose a book and go for it.
Neecholi has voted for the Twilight series as our first read in da club.
What was the name of the book you were telling me about in Zion...the one about the dude who competed in all of the triathlons and endurance races.
I can't find him either. We got punked...Into the W was a good read but I couldn't help but be bothered by the stupidity of the kid. I couldn't help but picture him as a Larry Chambers kind of guy. The part where hedecides to leave the wild but the river was to high to cross. What does he do, just turns around and goes back to the magic bus. Didn't try to explore and find a way across, just said OK and quit. Little did he know there was a bridge just a few miles up the river.Reminds me of the story when Larry was engaged to a Canadian babe. He drove up to Canada to marry her but was told at the border that they would not let him cross. He didn't even try to get across. Just said "OK" and came back home. The overall story really did give me an itching to toss my wallet out of the window and disappear. I could be completely happy just living day to day traveling around the country experiencing some type of adventure in nature. (Kind of be a modern day Huck Fin, riding rivers, climbing mountains, getting into all types of mischief, etc.) That would be a sweet life. Unfortunately some babe locked me down before I could get the courage to go.
