Thanks for your note. I loved non fiction but of late I have taken a liking to fiction. Try out some good non fiction you may like it.

    Dear Soh Zing H,
I read the Da Vince Code and really enjoyed it. I was curious about the dogma that is portrayed about the Catholic Church and in particular the sect that is written about so I searched for books about The Da Vinci Code. To my amazement there were many books that were written to discuss the issues inside Da Vinci Code. This also lead me to books about the history of the Catholic curch, which I also found very interesting.
If you just want to read it as a clever mystery book that's ok too.

One must sometimes read bad books, good books to better appreciate you!
Everything is a matter of taste.

Personally, I read it first, then judge

Angels and Demons is a better book, but if you plan to read Dan Brown's new book The Lost Symbol, read the Da Vinci Code to continue with Robert Langdon's story. My advice, read Angels and Demons first, then DVC makes more sense.

Hi..i think you should surely read da-Vinci code....you'll be surprised how the author successfully manages to merge facts with fiction...!!true dat this book lead to controversies...but at the end of the day...Dan Brown does emerge a winner...you'll see!!

If you liked Mary Higgins Clark (and I assume you did since you read more than one of her novels) you will like the Da Vinci Code. I, personally, though Angels and Demons was better. It is actually the first book, you might read it and then DVC. I read them in reverse (DVC became popular and then we all read Angels, the way it runs sometimes, kind of like John Grishom's A Time to Kill, his first book that no one heard of until The Client), that might make a difference.

I understand. Sometimes movies are better then the books. I hope you enjoy the book and the film!

I saw your question about the Da Vinci code. I think it is well worth your time and a exciting fast paced read. I think the book and the movie are very faithful to each other, but of course the book has detail the movie leaves out. I would read the book first then see the film. If you like it, you could try Angels and Demons as well.

It's no problem at all. I am constantly reading and I never leave a book unfinished that way I can pass on info like that to others. Happy reading!
