“The Shifter population have decided to come out to the world and that includes our Supe friends resident of Bon Temps. Once again, our girl Sookie finds herself in too close proximity of a dead body and in true character of her brother Jason, he's suspect. Drawn to drama like a true "queen", Sookie is out to prove her brother's innocence but gets more than she bargains for when she turns out to be an unsuspecting target brought on by yet another family member's problems.
First let me say that I love the Sookie Stackhouse novels, but I was very disappointed in this book. Anxious for the release of Dead and Gone, I expected much more than what I received. Like a disappointed kid on Christmas day, I kept waiting for that "Red Rider BB Gun", but alas it never came. The book felt rushed lacking detail that Mrs. Harris has given in the past. It felt forced. Maybe because of the rise in popularity of this series and it's television show, but it left alot to be desired unlike the previous books in the series. However, if you are a "Sookie Stalker" such as myself, you should read it based solely for loyalty. ”
