Flags of Our Fathers by James Bradley with Ron powers. I gave this book five out of five stars. I gave it this rating because it taught me a lot about world war two. It also talks about the lives of the men who are putting up the American flag in the famous picture. I enjoyed reading this book because it teaches you a lot about what was going on in Japan during D-day and many other events. It also talks about the lives of the men after the war was over. The genre of the book would be historical non-fiction.

I gave this book a three out of five stars. This book was very confusing for me because of the time period it was written. Also, George Orwell uses a huge vocabulary and i do not understand some words. Although it was confusing at times, I also enjoyed reading it. My favorite part of this book is the protagonist, Winston Smith. Winston Smith is my favorite character because he does whatever he wants and quite frankly he doesn't care if he gets caught by the though-police or not. I think that this book is a dystopian fiction. A dystopian fiction is a fiction that imagines the author's envision of an awful, unhappy world. -1984

I gave this book four out of five stars. I liked the southern flare it had to it and how Maya Angelou was willing to share with the readers her most traumatic experiences. This book is so interesting because there is tons of drama throughout the whole book. I can relate to this book because she writes about her religious experiences and I am a very religious person. Also, Maya struggled in her childhood as did I. This book is an autobiography. An autobiography is a book about the life of a person, written by that person. -I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings

Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe in my eyes is rated 5/5 because it was well written and I could relate to a lot of the things that happened in the book. Also, I really enjoyed reading this book because of the interesting rituals and sacrifices the people in the book have to make. Just reading this book teaches you a lot about there cultures!
I don’t know the genre of this book.
    REDO!
I rate the book Night by Elie Wiesel a 4/5 because I enjoyed it and learned a lot about the book but it was very depressing and I could imagine what was really going on after watching the movie we seen in class. It was so sad and it would keep me thinking all day about what they went through.
The genre of this book is autobiography.

Nice book collection. I see you like tobias wolfe. I've never read any of his books. I will put that on my reading list. I'm kind of stuck in the history realm and trying to break out.
