Long time, no write. I just finished The Language of Flowers (which is supposed to be the winter's big debut, and was pretty riveting) and am now reading a book about FLDS that is slow going. Have you read the book The Sound of a Wild Snail Eating? That is next. If a wild snail can be more interesting than a religious group with odd ideas, then that author should be ashamed of himself!

If you like nonfiction, I would suggest The Indifferent Stars Above, which tells the story of the Donner Party from the point of view of a young bride. I read it this summer and found it riveting.

Sure thing. I'll friend you so you're easy to find, if that works for you. What are you reading right now? I'm only somewhat ashamed to admit that I'm reading a bio of Melissa Gilbert. It's the first week of school and correcting the essays has my literary brain overtaxed.

I like The Reliable Wife. It was a little out there, but it was unpredictable in many spots.

Interesting. I have it coming in from the library hold system. Did you read Serena by Ron Rash? It sounds somewhat similar.

Thank you for your thoughts on Loving Frank. Also, my friend just bought me The Women so I'm excited to hear that is a good read as well. I'll be sure to follow up with you once I've read either of these books.
    Thanks again!!
