I agree.
yeah. I think we can have more though.
Would you like to be on the administration for Some Like it Weird?
Good Morning, I sent you a PM. :D
haha me too!
Hi Eileen....Evil Eyes was an awesome book to read and I noticed you have one up here called Wolfeen...I couldn't read the authors name but I put it on my shelf to read too...thanks for the up-date...:)
Hi Eileen...I just got your post now saying you thought I should read the 4 O'Clock Murders...if you think I should...I will. So sorry it took me all this time to answer your post Eileenbut just got back from California. I left on the 12th of October and was to come home on the 22nd but took sick...with the Crohns...needed your books with me, I thought of you...but back home and feeling better so will do my darndest to catch up on all the group and what everyone is chatting about...so be patient, I will get there, sooner or later. Thanks for the post...stay well....:) Rita
One of my favorite books as a kid was Daniel Cohen's "A Natural History of Unnatural Things." It's about monsters, but my parents initially thought it was something far more perverse...like the sorts of things I'm reading now....
It's only fair and natural: I've grabbed more than a couple of suggestions from you, too. So you liked the backstory angle of Hannibal Rising? That (coupled with poor reviews) was the reason I haven't read the book. I kinda like my psychopaths' insanity unexplained.
Hey Eileen, I sent you PM. :D
O but you are. That is why I like you. lol
Eileen thanks for the recommendation to the disaster group. I still have to check it out but yes it was me who loves to read bout disasters and survival. I am bad, i know... :)
AH!Sorry I didn't even notice that you messaged me,wow, jeez I'm really unobservant!Sorry! But anyways you asked about close to shore,it was really good.It had a good mixture of history and fear and a bit of gory descriptions that aren't over the top or disgusting really.Haha but you should read it!
Hi Eileen, thanks for the invite.Gerry
Thanks for the recommendation of A Death in White Bear Lake. Always love to get recommandations, especially from my TC friends.
Karla: A pact with the Devil and the French edition is obviously Karla: Le Pacte Avec Le Diable, by Stephen Williams.Again I think it was originally written in English.
Hi EileenHope all is well.I've just stumbled upon a TC book in French, and thought about you. It's called La Beauté Disparue, L'affaire Robin Benedict by Teresa Carpenter. The author's name doesn't sound French at all, which makes me think that it was probably written in English and then translated. It's about the case of Robin Benedict, killed by Professor William Douglas. I have no idea if it is any good though, but since I'd promised you to try and find any TC in French, I was surprised to find this.I'm reading a book called The professor and the prostitute, about this case and some others, which Karen kindly sent me.I also remember that there is another book in French on my TBR list, about Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo, the Canadian couple (I have posted a discussion about it on our group). Of course, as it happened in Canada, the probability of a book about it in French is much higher than other cases.Hope that is of any help, should you get interested in it. I'll keep looking for others.
Hi Eileen...so sorry it took me so long to reply to your book suggestions...I am only now getting the hang of this...thanks to Koreen who patiently explained it to me...and thankyou for these books to read...very good pick. Have just found out that because of my Diabetes 2...it is now affected my kidney's??..the #'s have gone down..so have to jumpon that and inflammation is the route of ALL EVIL...thanks again for the post...:)
Hi EileenThanks for the invitation to the Weird group..I'm also writing to let you know I've just finished reading Guilty by Reason of Insanity, and I really enjoyed it. It does shed a different light on MPD, and the author seems pretty good a professional. Thank you so much for that.
