I did get your invite--thanks.
HI,I have been swamped at work and now i'm back to part time. Kindertransport isn't terribly sad. I like a happy ending and its prewar so the really nasty stuff hasnt happened yet. the heroine is just learning what the SS plans areMy boy is 17. He's doing great, a little nervous about graduation and what comes next. The book is an ebook but you can order it at the stores as well. I have asigning this saturday. hope i sell some!take care,Jen
Was The Broken Window Jeffrey Deaver (sic?)
Hi Rita!!Sorry it's been so long since you heard from me, I'm doing well, and so is my furry family. My Bichon Havanese Qaspar celebrated his 17th birthday on Halloween!! My new kitten has adapted so well, and is loved by all my furry friends, my cat Imhotep has really taken to Bonnie (phew!!) and so have the dogs.Haven't been reading much lately, next month, December I'll go to a "bookfair", where they sell books as cheap as you can imagine, I always go there to get my year supply!!! I always find loads of English pockets, as I love to read in English anyway. The "bookfair" is in Ghent,Belgium and called "Boekenfestijn", can hardly wait!!!Hope all is well with you, take care, and I'll chat with you soon again, promise :)Hugs, Marty
I liked it very much. Every now and again I turn from the true crime to read something different. It was a detective book if you will they were solving the crime however in this case the chapters switched at times to the killers view, which made if interesting and making want to see the next chapter.
Hi Rita, are you cooking up a storm?! am reading a new serial killer/crime bk called HeartSick by Chelsea Cain...really good...grabs you and ya don't wanna put it down...my 50s bathroom wouldn't be so bad if all the tiles matched and weren't cracked...right now don't really have the $$$ to spend...guess i'll have to live w/it...love the color violet...hope all's well in your world...hugs
Right now I am actually reading a novel by an jeffey Deaver..never read anything by him before and I am enjoying it it is called the Broken Window..He is also the author of a book called the bone collector which was actually adapted for a movie. So far It is really good.. Every now and then I like to read something by a new author (well new to me anyway lol).
I know nothing about kidneys. If in doubt, though, lower your protein intake. It's beans for you from now on!!
Good morning Rita! well to start TTYS means "talk to you soon" I just abreviate it. Im glad to hear you had a nice time with your duaghter, however I'm sorry you got a little under the weather. Bummer, of all times when your on vacation hah? Im not sure either what happend to James or Charlie but I guess people come and go on this website. No need to apologize if you feel like your venting, we all need to vent and talk to someone once in a while and I understand, I enjoy your messages. Speaking of messages, you asked about your email being flooded with messages, thats probably because your Shelfari settings are turned on. You go to Account Settings on the right hand top of your page and click, then you'll see Notifications, click on that and you'll want to click on Edit so that you can only be notified of things you want. I think once you see it you'll understand what Im talking about. I have all those settings turned off. I can only get a private message from someone and public comments like the ones you leave me. Everything else is shut off for me, otherwise it would be overwhelming. I hope that helps and let me know ok. Well enjoy your Sunday and happy reading to you Rita. Cindy
go ahead :) I want to add to some more but I think the tbr list is long enough lol!
go for it!my shelf is your shelf!
Hi Rita, movie's finally up...it's 90 seconds, here's the link: www.youtube.com/user/msrobinglasser if ya like it, please pass it on...if you hate it, please pass it on...how're the renovations going?would love to redo my ancient pink & black bathroom...will do soon as i out sell that grisham guy!hugs,
AWW! Rita you are so sweet! Thank you, I was just in the mood to change my pic in to something for the Halloween season. Ive started a couple, I picked up Son of a Grifter again, I had put it down to read other stuff, and Im reading To Kill a Mockingbird, Lord of the Flies, Water for Elephants. So yeah I have several books going on. Im not sure what happend to Charlie or James actually? I guess they just decided to delete their accounts. Who knows...So did you have a good time on vacation? TTYS Cindy
Could that be The Wolfen by Whitley Strieber? If so I highly recommend it.
Hey Rita! I saw you were back from vacation, you'll have to tell me all about it. Im glad you're back in one piece hope you had lots of fun, what books did you take? TTYS Cindy
Hi Rita,Just wanted to stop by and wish you a very happy weekend!See ya around ;)
Hi Rita!!I haven't been on my shelfari page for some time. It's good to hear from you, my furry kids are all doing great, the new addition is a joy to have in the house (and sometimes a menace, Bonnie has already killed 2 potted plants!)I haven't been reading much lately, need to get back into it I guess.Hope you're doing well and enjoying a good book as we speak!Hugs, Marty
gee, if you are working on Type II diabetes I would recommend a third book, Dr. Neal Barnard's Program For Reversing Diabetes. I know some people who swear by it.
