  • Leadership and Self-Deception
    • Rated 5 stars

One of my favorite books, and I would recomment this book to everyone, not just leaders. It helps to realize that we are truly in control of our enviroments, and depending on our attitudes we could change our circumstances tremendously. It's a must read!

  • Good to Great

I really enjoyed the book, but I came away not knowing exactly how I could take my company to the next level. It only studies the top companies in the country. I did learn a lot about having for the most part a core service, and trying to stay away from those services that become only a distraction and detriment to the core service of the organiization or what they would call your hedge hog. I recommend the book, with little reservation.

  • Democracy in America

I loved this reading, it was amazing to feel what Alexis saw in 1830, and I learned a lot about the democracy that we are supposed to understand in order to maintain the freedoms americans have enjoyed for over 200 years.

Great book to understand the workings of the Spirit and how revelation can work in ones life, very easy read and very powerful in it's format and organization of ideas. One I would recommend for anyone looking for some helpful insights on ways to improve understanding of personal revelation.

There are a lot of books out there that ride along this theme of giving the extra value to the customer to become successful, having said that I would recommend this one above the rest. It was so well written and I could hardly put it down. As I was reading I came to a conclusion in my own life that I think one of the reasons my organization does so well is because it gives back and is always adding more value than required, but it's what we love to do, and try to do often.

Excellent classic book, I do wish there was a field guide to go along with it. I loved the reading and would recommend to anyone wanting to be a better manager.

  • Silos, Politics, and Turf Wars
    • Rated 5 stars

I believe this book brings out some amazing problems that exist in any larger organizations, and Lencioni addresses it with clarity. I really enjoyed this book and saw a lot of practical use for me personally. He brings to light the idea that the best way to destroy politics, and silos in any organization is to have constant crisis going on. Obviously he suggests that before there is a big crisis we can create one by coming up with a theme for the organization that gets everyones attention and that must be addressed to carry the vision forward. It is just a must read and if you see silos, politics, and turf wars in your organization please help yourself by reading this book.
