The Ptolemy clan of vampires is being hunted by some unseen force. Determined to find the source of this curse the queen Arsinoe sends Tynan MacGillivray to search for a seer who can help find the source. Ty is a servant of the Ptolemy court, his being of Cait Sith blood. All other clans considered the Cait low bloods since they sift into cat form so they are consider no better than werewolves. After a year of searching finally Ty finds her, what he doesn't expect to find is the physical connection and draw this mysterious woman has on him.

Lily Quinn was adopted into a rich family whom never gave her love or affection so she was never an overly affection person herself . But when she meets the dangerously delicious Ty, she finds herself wanting to be more than just merely affectionate. Lily has suddenly been thrust into a world she never knew existed, in her world she was the abnormal one now she is in a world were vampires are real and tracking her down some to kill her and other for personal gain. If all of this wasn't enough to take in, there is also the yummy vampire that's leading her into this world. Ty is about the most enticing man she's ever met especially when he purrs.

At first I thought this book was going to be super slow, it had to much description and information for me at first. I knew I needed all this background information. I just was not in the mood for it, you know the feeling of just not wanting to start that new book for fear it going to suck and you'd have wasted your time. That’s how I felt, but as soon as I got into it, which was like page twenty, I was hooked I couldn't read it fast enough I wanted to know what would happen. They are not your conventional vampires, the world that has been created in this series is unique and Intriguing. Each character has a life of there own . Ty is strong, sexy, and wants to do what's right for his people even if it conflicts with what his heart wants.

Lily is not your normal stupid heroine, she is strong, tender and carries the blood of the ancients to back her Ass up. Even if she is a little unsure how to use that power, she still is a force to be reckoned with.

Jaden he is a side character but you know there is soo much more to him than what you see in this book and I know from reading the sneak peek in the book the next book is his, I am very excited.

Vlad is everything you need in Dracula. A legend, sexy, powerfully and very humorous.
I loved all the character in this book they kept me intrigued the entire book, never once did I want to put my book down even when I had to. I will be looking’s forward to the sequel in this series.

After leaving Iraq, all Trace Huntsman wanted was a peaceful solitary life; but when his friend Kendzie Gregor saddle him with overseeing his sisters assimilation to the twenty first century. What they didn't take into account is that this man-shy female just may be his undoing. She cleans all his stuff, rearrange his tools and brings home all sorts of stray animals. She can infuriate him like no other but for some reason she can also sets his blood a fire like no other.

Fiona has lived at the mercy of men before, having been raped and abused for seven months, she refuses to be at the mercy of her brothers or this sexy man whom she is now renting a room from. But if she completely honest with herself there is just something about this sloppy, rude, stubborn man that makes her yearn for more.

This was a great addition to the series. I have read book two and loved it, but I'm still needing to read book one and this book only made me want to read it more. I love each of the characters they have so much personality each one takes on a life of there own in each story even when they are not the main focus of the story with out taking away from the actual story.

The story line is great I love how Trace and Fiona over come there demons to realizes that what they need is each other and that they are willing to set aside there fears in order to be able to have each other.

I love Mac he was very intuiting in the second book, but I fell in love with him in this third book. He was so funny, with all is wise cracks and stupid comments had me rolling. I love the relationship between Trace and Mac, they act like they don't care for each other but really they are good friends. I seriously want to more of Mac in the next book, hopefully it will be his HEA book.

“You cannot leave me. The world would never survive my wrath.” – Mira

The war with the naturi has come to a head and Mira must decide if her hatred for these creatures is stronger than her duty to protect her people and her city. She must make alliances’ with the very things she has been hunting for centuries. Then to make matters worse the day light collation, a society determined to rid the world of all its abominations has risen up and take matters into its own hands . Somehow they got information on several Lycanthrope packs and where they go on full moons and launched an attacked the local Lycan pack along with several others in the area. Mira must find a way to stop them before they expose them all to the world and an all-out man hunt starts coming for them. But none of this will matter if she can’t find a way to stop Nick her father, the god of chaos. Nick is determined to make Mira kill Danaus and the very powerful elder Jabari, her maker. Somehow if she completes this and becomes stronger it will help him regain his God like powers and reek chaos on the world once again. But if she fails he will turn her human and make her birth him a new child to start over with. Mira may have an ace up her sleeve; she must find the vampire leader he is old and powerful, he may be the only one who could help her to rid the world of Nicks presents. But she may not be willing to pay the price her liege is asking of her for his help.

This was the last book in this series. Honestly I thought it was the best book, there was a lot going on but Jocelynn managed it great. There was not a time that I got lost in the story. It was more like the more she throws at Mira the more exciting the book got.

The last two books I had started feeling sorry and started to like Rowe (the Naturi that helped capture and torture Mira) I thought it was weird, but I sometimes tend to like the bad guys for some reason but I really liked him in this book. The point a view switched back and forth from Nxy (the Naturi Queens sister) and Mira. At first I thought I wouldn’t like it but I did, I liked being able to see the war form the other side of the table and see their point of views. It made you understand them and like them better well at least some of them, the queen is still a horribly evil creature.

I love the relationship between Danaus and Mira it has grown in to a very strong bond. I love how much she cares for him. I do not like that she is ashamed of what she is because of him. She hides her feedings and feeds less to accommodate him, I think he would adapt he loves her too much to give her up over something so trivial.

The ending was very well done and it wrapped it all up the best it could. I think the last two book are the best in the series and I’m sad to see that it is done I would love to see more of Rowe and Nyx , I just got to know them.

After the murder of his wife and unborn child a mortally injured James Macleod no longer possessed the will to live. Then the wolf inside him rose up and took over controlled for thirty years. Suddenly James snapped to awareness the cause of this awareness, a beautiful sexy blonde vet.

Jillian had worked so hard to get her veterinary degree but felt she was going no ware, till Connor Macleod called and offered her a job. Upon arriving at the clinic Jillian had a few more surprises, she found the white wolf who rescued her when she was a teen from the evil men who raped her. Then she encounters a large sexy blonde man whom claims to be Connors brother.

Jillian and James are uncontrollably being drawn together. James resting it at every turn. Guilt for his dead wife, and guilt for not protecting her properly stands in his way of letting himself have her wail his wolf struggles to claim her as his mate. Jillian wants this mysterious man but he seams to bring her close only to push her away.

I love this community that is built in theses books. The Macleod family is tight and fun loving. The connection between Jillian and James is so magnetic, you can feel the energy flow between them every time they come near one another.

Jillian has a spark to her she has a feisty personality. She is open and willing to be vulnerable to an extent but she is stubborn strong willed and independent.
James has had tough time in his past and is having a hard time dealing with being human once again. Even though he's been out of touch for thirty years he doesn’t seem to out dated. Even if he doesn't want to admit it, his love for Jillian is strong and overwhelming . He is not sure how to deal with it.

The whole book was good, no dry moments. Changeling dream keeps you engaged the entire book. I liked the side story about the family that killed James wife, it was a interesting side story. I would like to know more about Douglas, I think there is more to that story still. I loved the ending I think it was great, I can't tell you or it give it all away but it was a perfect ending. I am hopping the next book will be about one of the twins. I love them and like to see more of them.

Things have just started to slow down a bit for Cat and Bones no one trying to kill them.... Well until they take on a job for a ghost. Fabian there adopted ghost brings a friend, another ghost to Cat and Bones who claims to know of a spirit that emerges every hallowing becoming corporal murdering and raping women to rid the world of supposed witches .

Now not only does Cat have a very pissed of spirit hunting her, she has to deal with the new operations counselor that is hell bent on being a thorn in Cats side.

As always I loved Bones he is the best thing about this series. I enjoyed seeing spade and Ian again in this book. It is always a good time when the gang gets together. I wish we could have seen Vlad. Jeaniene’s characters are so amazing they seem to have a life of their own and just come right of the pages.

On page 309 when she tore out pages of a paperback to write on I almost died. I gasped in horror, how dare she defile a book like that. I’m one of those people I don’t turn down the corners of my books, and I certainly do not bind the binding back so far they touch and leave creases in my book spine.

There was not as magnetic sex as usual, there was some and of course it was hot and steamy but it didn't have the blush factor most of her books do the whole book lacked its normal luster it was just OK nothing real noteworthy. But with that said I still enjoyed the book I can never go wrong with bones, I hope the next one will knock my socks off.

“….dis ain’t just a house full o’ women. Dis be a house full of hoodoos”……. (My favorite quote)

Kallie is a headstrong hoodoo apprentice, but what lies beneath the surface may be a ticking bomb. When Kallie was a little girl her mother removed her soul and replaced it with a sleeping loa. If finding out how to remove this loa without causing her own death was not enough, Kallie must struggle to survive the revenge Doctor Heron has brought upon her family. She already escaped him once, but not without ill effects.

Something’s undoing all the powerful gris gris and creating chaos, a great storm is coming their way and the protection spells seem to be drawing it in instead of keeping them safe. Kallie believes the weather and the issues with the gris gris being on the fritz is caused by the loa she has inside her. Something is causing this magical feedback and if she doesn’t do something soon they may all be in trouble.

But all of this takes a back seat to the fact Kallie's cousin has been taken. Kallie and her friends must find him before death does, but death may not be the only loa hunting them. Kallie has attracted a loup garou that is out to claim her heart literally.

With the death of his fellow nomad Gabe, Layne felt he still owed him vengeance. He set out to find the ghost of the Dr. Heron; she is the one who caused the death and mayhem to begin with. If not for her jealousy and lies none of this would have happened and his brother of the road would still be alive. What Layne did not expect was to be sideswiped by a truck hell bent to get away. Unconscious and venerable, a head wound may not be his biggest issue.

This was a great addition to the series I loved the introduction to the new characters wail still learning about the old ones more. This series has the potential to branch off in other directions with so many strong side characters. There is not a slow point to this book once you open the book your engaged. Be prepared to be up late because you will not want to put it down. I loved the story line for Jacks, it is an interesting twist I would love to see more of. There is such a connection between Layne and Kallie but I understand each of their reservations. Even though there is a great love story waiting there for them it does not take presentence in this story. It is just enough to long for it but it is not over whelming and the whole biases of the story.

There just is so much going on its hard to keep up at times. I think it may have bit too many story lines going on at the same time. Then again I think that may be why it is so engaging. Either way I enjoyed this book a lot, it’s been a while since I read a book that kept me so sucked in till the very end.

The relationship between Belladonna and Kallie is hilarious it reminds me of myself and Steph. They bicker and poke fun at each other all the time, I love it. Here are my favorite quotes of their’s from Black Heart Loa:

“…since you ruined one of nails when you yanked that damned gun out of my hands, you owe me a manicure, Shug. And dessert of my choice at Mama’s House of Cake”. –Belladonna

“The manicure, sure, but cake?” – Kallie

    “Mmm-hmm. For Pain and suffering”-Belladonna

    -------

“So ….. if you could eat that slice of cake off anyone’s six-pack abs, who would it be?”- Kallie

“Oooo. I like this game.” Her gaze shifted, caresses Layne’s stretched-out length. “Anyone?”-Belladonna

“Yup. Anyone but Layne.” – Kallie

    “Phooey. Spoilsport.” – Belladonna

“If anyone is eating cake off his goddamned abs, it’s gonna be me.” – Kallie

“I’ll be sure and tell him that. I’m betting it’ll please him to no end” – Belladonna

    “You do and ill-“ Kallie

“If you’re going to eat cake off my goddamned abs, I’d prefer red velvet”-Layne

    ----

Love it as you can tell it is a great book a must read, you have to read Black Dust Mombo first though. There are a lot of unanswered questions and things still needing resolved so I hope that we will be seeing more of Kallie Layne and the gang soon.

Once nothing more than a soldier, bred for the sole purpose to fight and kill, Hunter has never known any kid of kinship or affection. He found his kinship, when he found the Oder they took him in once he was fee of the evil Breed male who created him. The Oder befriended him and gave him a purpose that he could fight for. Still he had no need or want for affection or women until he meet Corinne.

The Oder rescued Corinne from a compound were Dragos was keeping Breedmates (Selected humans who carry the mark to signify they are able to mate with Breed males and carry there babies.) in cages and using them to breed with a Gen One creature that he has chained up. Dragos was trying to create his own Gen One army to take over, so intern he was taking these women and using them to birth his solders. Corinne was among them, the order saved her.

Since the moment Hunter seen her he knew there was something about her that sparked a interest in him that he couldn’t explain. This only got worse when he volunteered to take Corinne home to her parents . The more time he spends with her the more this protectiveness over her presents its self to him along with other feels he cant explain these feelings of lust and wanting; he was trained not to feel anything , want anything but this luscious woman brings this all roaring to life, non of his training can help him hold the feelings back. He must have her but he doesn’t know how to seduce her with out scaring her she has been through a lot.

Corinne wants Hunter , he sparks feelings she hasn’t ever felt before. He is so gentle and caring something that she has never experienced. She is not sure if she is ready for an sexual relationship, after all she has been though. Maybe she can with Hunter?

I love all the characters in the Breed series and this book was no different. Hunter is sexy and strong with a shaded past just the perfect combo for a yummy male. Corinne is strong willed, but a bit timid sweet and loving a little to trusting . She makes a good mate for Hunter. The story was fast paste the fight scenes were good hunter is bad ass as always. The sex scenes I think lacked a bit I think there were hotter scenes in past books. This book is better for than Brocks book but it still lacked something , it didn’t have its heat factor. don’t get me wrong it was a good book and better than some books out there but it just didn’t leave me with that “OMG that was amazing let me read it again now!” Feeling you know you get with some books.

I think it was a great set up for Chase’s book I will be interested to see what happens to him his book has been a long time coming and I cant wait to see him get his HEA he needs it more than any one. He really hits bottom in this book and the ending is a OMG and WTF all to gather so you cant help but pine for the next book.
