I am a voracious reader. I spend most of my free time reading. I have a binder of all the books that I have read from 2004 to today as well as a tally of the total page numbers from all of these books. I have a tendency to buy tons of books and hide them away until I can read them. My summer plan is to make a serious dent in my hiding... more »

I am reading it very slowly since it is my "bath book" but I actually like that since I'm really savoring it. I am completely absorbed in it and think about it all the time, even though I'm only about half way through. I would love to discuss it when I'm finished as it's well on it's way to being a new favorite!

I think i am going to submit and read them. (thank you for recommending it) I think i really might like them anyway.
Especially after what you have said. Me, well once i really enjoyed fantasy stories but most especially, im afraid, if they are set in early history or even pre-historical times. I read so many though that they gre tiresome, perhaps i should see if the old seed is awakened finally with game of thrones. Ah for me the more complex the better i think. Shall give it a try and thank you.

It was such a fuss about the book and then about the movie, I was maybe expecting too much. Usualy I find that books are better than movie versions, so I was wondering about this one. So, thanks for your opinion. :)

Hey, I saw you started reading Eat, pray, love, have you seen the film? For me it was very boring, I was just wondering how is the book?

I also love the Murder of Roger Ackroyd; I think it's one of Christie's best. :-)
I have yet to read more of her books to notice the "doctors" trend.
    Have a good weekend!

Well I sort of liked it...I thought it was really well done for what he was trying to accomplish. I was very confused until I realized that Delillo was playing on the absurdity of the times (80's I think). Once I figured out that the Protagonist and his family were completely clueless I started to like it more.

Thanks! That's my Claire having her first bath when she was about half the size she is at present. And yes, it is a "To Kill a Mockingbird" reference. I love that book. I just thought I'd try to be a bit more creative. Everyone has really neat names and mine was boring. Just thought I'd try on a new identity. Maybe I should look for a literary character I identify more with than a little girl who acts like a little boy. Although, that was totally me. :)

Oooooo, California! That sounds fun. Well, at least, I hope it's for fun. :) Where in California are you going and for how long? So, we should pick a weekend for you to come visit, assuming you want to. I don't want you to feel pressured. But it would be fun to have you over. We have an air bed ... so no worries about having to drive home after a night of fun. I'll even make you breakfast before you set off back to KC. At present, I am busy this weekend and the following. So does Saturday, June 20 work for you? It's pretty much our only option I suppose since the 28th is the next weekend.
