If you have any level of dysfunction in your family, you may find RUNNING WITH SCISSORS disconcerting. Many in my book club loved it, but then they had happier childhoods.

you wanted to know if you should read running with scissors; I've read other people's reviews and they seem to go the same way, loved it or hated it. the book is raw and at times funny, but more often than not just plain gross. It wasn't what I was expecting when I read it, and I kept on reading it out of morbid curiosity. Not for the easily upset or those of more delicate sensibilities.
