The person I suggested go there said that she couldn't see it. I "friended" her and sent an invite, and I think she was able to join that way (we had simply been discussing The Help, so I thought she might be interested in looking at the discussion in the group).

If it got set that way, it should be in the group settings somewhere. But, if you don't remember setting it that way (I thought you might have when you decided you didn't have time to run the group read every month), then I'm not sure why she couldn't see it. Oh, well. She's in the group now (I think). Merry Christmas (or Happy Holidays, if you don't celebrate Christmas), if I don't "see" you in the meantime! :-)

Hi Angie! Just a quick question. I tried sending a link to the discussion of The Help in the Online Book Club group, but the person I sent it to said it wouldn't work because it's "private"? The group isn't private, is it? I suggested she try to go in from my profile instead, in case it's just a problem with the link. But, I wanted to double check with you, anyway. Thanks!

I should have popped over to see if you wanted to break the tie over in the book club group, but I just went ahead and did it. Oops, sorry! Well, if you want to take a look, we've decided on a new book.

Sorry this reply is so late. I've been so busy with school but thanks for the warm welcome. I'll definitely think about suggestions for next month's selection.

Angie, I have the Bean Tree and many of the Jodi Picoult books that you have on your "plan to read" list. Let me know if you want to borrow any of them. Thanks

Hi Angie! I just wanted to mention that I added a couple of books to the book club bookshelf as options for people to vote on. I know that you usually remove the ones that no one votes on, but with the shorter voting time this time, I wasn't sure if you were going to do that.

I wanted to let you know that I added one without initially realizing that I can't even get it without requesting through inter-library loan, and I'm not going to do that when trying to read something in a particular month. So, feel free to remove it - it's The Worst Hard Time. When I realized I'd have to ILL it, I didn't even vote for it this time, so... Up to you! Thanks!

    Ohh I see.

Veo en tu descripción que enseñas (o enseñabas) español, así que imagino que ya lo debes hablar muy bien.

I've already read "A Thousand Splendid Suns" but so far had no one to discuss it with. So I'm really looking forward to the discussions.
PS: sorry for spamming your wall :)

    Hi Ange,
i added some books to the Nov. list, but don't have the savvy/werewithal to put anything on the shelf if we're supposed to do that. (?) Hope it was ok to put those "out" there. (I am so psyched about your news!!!! You have no Idea!!!) Sorry you're not liking Rebecca....its hard for me to even imagine, :)

Rebecca is ok. I read the first sentence and realized I have read it before. It is a lil too Jane Austenish for my taste, but I do prefer it to the Reader.

Hi there! I'm just dropping by to welcome you to The 100+ Book Challenge. The idea of the group is pretty much self explanatory - try to read 100 or more books in a one year period. If you do have any questions, please feel free to send a message to me or Tenia. In the meantime, good luck reaching your goal!
