I loved this book. I think of it often when I look at my dogs who are both old men now. I know that inside they are hoping to be human in their next lives and I hope I have been the owner to help them achieve that. I will be heartbroken when it is time for them to go, but know it will be better overall.

A little slow to start, but totally worth plowing through to the end. Once I got past the first 1/3 or so I couldn't put it down.

Fantastic book, gritty and difficult to read sometimes, but wonderful at the same time.

I enjoyed this, but not up the standard of "The Eight". A good follow-up though.

This book was classic Gabaldon, better than the last book and a great set-up for the next book. I can hardly wait. Hope it isn't five years to the next one.

I was so not prepared for how this book turned out. I think if I had known where it was going ahead of time, it might have been easier for me to read.

I love Jodi Picoult's writing style, however, I wish she would get over the Dan Brown style twists at the end. She is far too talented to copy that hack's way of sticking it to his readers at the end of the book.
