I'm 55 and I've been an obssesive reader since childhood. I'm retired now,which gives me more time to read, obviously. I've got so many books sometimes I don't think I'll ever finish them all. That doesn't stop me from accumulating more of course!

    That sounds wonderful - I've spent £30 this month on just three books - although I'm not usually that extravagant. I've heard a lot of people talk about Neil Gaimen, I think I'll have to look him up, although my tbr pile just gets longer and longer. As someone once said to me - there's the list and then there's the budget!

    I think I've read it about three times all told. It's not really like the films, which I think puts some people off, and the way in which it is written isn't the easiest to follow, but I think once you get into it you'll be gripped.

    Do you have a favourite genre? I dabble in lost of things - paranormal and urban mysteries at the moment, although i have a pile of thriller waiting to be read. I keep thinking, ironing.... reading? No guesses for which one usually wins.
