I absolutely LOVE books and reading. I can't not be reading something. I really like womens fiction and "chick lit", even though sometimes it is a bit predictable. I love the Target Bookmarked selections. I try to keep up with them, but sometimes I have been disappointed with their selection. I live in Avon, Ohio a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio... more »

Hi Karen! I have to be honest, this book just didn't pull me in! I am about halfway thru and thinking of doing something I really don't want to do - put it away for now! The story is ok, but I think I'm just not that into it!

Hello, I'm also glad to see a picture of you! I wanted to let you know that I didn't get a chance to read the book, i'm reading it this week (i'm a slacker!) so Renee agreed to lead the discussion tonight. Would 8:00pm central time be too late? She said she could start it at 7pm but her kids don't go to bed until 8pm. Let me know. Sorry about not reading the book yet! I'm going to hate missing out on the discussion tonight! But i don't want to hear anything about the book that might spoil it for me.

    Talk to you soon,
    Melody

I know I love that cover too! Yeah Barb D. isn't so hot. I was listening to it in the car and I got it free at the library but I don't think I would get her again.

Don't worry, your kids will get reading when they're ready. And if they're stubborn like I was they might be less apt to do something even wonderful that their mom suggested!

Hahaha...no I'm just a bit obsessive. Once I start reading something it becomes an obsession to finish it...especially if it's good! I feel so accomplished when I've read a book, lol.

I haven't gotten too far just yet - still on vacation! :) But am enjoying what I have read so far!!! My Sister's Keeper was a great story. I kind of knew where it was headed in some aspects, but the ending was a sudden sad surprise. I am in Colorado - Vail area. Absolutely enjoying it out here so far and we have our dog with us! She is a puggle (pug/beagle mix) named Payton and is the cutest dog ever! :) Glad to hear you love the book so far - looking forward to reading more. Hope you are continuing to enjoy Twenties Girl!

Hi Karen! I do plan on reading Twenties Girl. I'm just finishing up My Sister's Keeper and plan on starting that next. I'm looking forward to the discussions and getting to know all of you! Are the book discussions generally at the end of the month? I don't know how active I'll be the next week or so as I'm going on vacation, but am loading up my reader so I have plenty to read!!! :) Do you like Sophie Kinsella's books - this will be my first!

I noticed that A Thread of Truth is the 2nd book in the series, did you know that? A Single Thread is the first book I'm guessing.
