Thank you for your note, Olive. I would love to participate in your group, but I am too busy. I'm not just saying that. I usually buy books written by people I know, I belong to a writers' salon, art group, photography group, etc. and I have books stacked up to read, a magazine stack more than a foot tall, I'm trying to write a family photo book, and have a lot of publicity to do. The latest is an online interview by Don McCauley. It's up on this site until January 29, I believe:
www.theauthorsshow.com. Then click on "The Authors Show Radio," a player will appear, so click on "From Thunder to Breakfast." And last of all, my husband and I need to get our papers in order to give our Executor exact details about our final trip. We're old. Oh, yes, I have to paint a couple of pieces of art for an upcoming show.

    Cheers!

Hi, Olive! I see you are Canadian. We've been there a few times, the last time to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with a tour of the Canadian Rockies.
    Spectacular.

I have three books on the market. One is a memoir about Hube Yates, a pioneer to Arizona who had a marvelous sense of humor. It's titled FROM THUNDER TO BREAKFAST. Another is a book of short stories about early settlers to a small community in Arizona. Its title is THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT CAVE CREEK (It's The People). I actually interviewed these individualists in the 70s. The third is WIDOWHOOD HAPPENS, which encourages married people to prepare for widowhood as much as they can. It's an easy read, not gruesome, but honest.
All are listed in the usual places, plus Kindle. I'd love for you to check them out.

My favorite story type is mystry/suspense. I've been an avid reader of all types of books since childhood. Recently, for about an year, I'm almost off from reading due to tremendous work pressure.

Thanks for joining my group. If you have the inclination, it's about time to vote for next month's book, feel free to add something to the group shelf if you don't already see something you'd like to vote for. That is where our votes come from. Most votes will be posted on July fifth so we know what we're reading for the month. Welcome, and thanks again.

I'm also an author. I got my first book published last year, "Dreams on the Oregon Trail", a middle-grade historical fiction. You can also check out MY author profile (and yes, I'll check out yours!).
I do love to travel. I went to Iceland last summer, and loved it! I was hoping to up to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland this summer. I went to Newfoundland in 1990 and loved it, but didn't get all the way to the Viking settlement areas. I am now planning to do that trip next summer. My publisher wanted me to go on the Oregon Trail route this year and try to line up some book signings. I have family in Colorado and Oregon, so I'll be visiting them as well. So it's seven weeks on the road this summer (while gas prices are still somewhat low!)
Where have you traveled and where have you liked best?
My home e-mail is blinsley@frontiernet.net. I will be leaving on my travels on July 11.
