My husband calls me a nerd. I read mostly sci-fi, classic literature, and nonfiction. I think you can learn almost anything from a book so I've tried to shape my library to the kind of education I want. I love to research, especially Bible subjects.

I have 2 cats and a dog, all illiterate, and a husband, quite literate. One of the cats... more »

That's a lot of windmill charging for both of you! Things are same ol' here. Not much work; trying not to panic - each day's anxieties and all that. I edit a local magazine and have been busy with that. Getting ready to start supper - oh, just looked out in the dining room and one of our hens, Miss Nesbit, is strolling around. I think my husband left the door open. Never a dull moment! :-)

I'm sorry. You should know this about me from the start. I'm not above that “form of wit to which wise men stoop and fools aspire." - Ambrose Bierce

Maybe it was the stooping that hurt!

I feel your pain. The last time I moved was nine years ago, and I swore it was THE last time. The books were a truckload by themselves! My husband LOVES to read on his iTouch, but I just can't get into that, despite its obvious space-saving advantages.

Cats must be jealous of our ability to read because they seem compelled to try to obscure any reading materials with their stretched out bodies. I think it's a conspiracy.
