The ongoing saga of 14th Century Crispin Guest is an excleent tale that is well-told.

Fast-moving mystery. Well-written, but this latest episode in the life of Stone relies a bit too much on his sexual exploits to the point that they become redundant, at least in mys estimation.

I just got back from a few days' visit to Edinburgh and Ian Rankin's writings had given me an advanced awareness of "place". As I read "Exit Music" there, I realized that I will miss John Rebus and wondered if his cohort, Shiv, will continue the saga. I don't know if Rankin has the ability to switch genders in a literary sense as a writer such as Robert Parker did. It would be interesting to see if he can.

Regardless, I enjoyed "Exit Music" as I have all of the others in the Rebus series. Thank you, Ian Rankin, for sharing both John Rebus and Edinburgh.

I read almost 500 pages and then returned it to my library. After major characters were eliminated by the author, I totally lost interest. Can't imagine what Green Mars and Blue Mars (the other two in the trilogy) are like, nor do I care to find out.

Note: I read a number of books a week and it it very rare that I do not find some redeeming quality that will make me want to see how a book ends.

One of the first S-F books that I ever read, way back in the days. Interesting, humorous, good combination of S-F and mythologies.

An excellent story; I couldn't put it down. It is th most recent in a very well-written series.

Interesting insights on key players in the drama that led to India's independence. Surprising how much sex played into it all. Sad to learn of the negative aspects of those involved in the drama, especially Gandhi. He was truly a man of contradictions and, in certain aspects, great rigidity in attitude. in spite of some disillusionments, I'm glad that I read it.

One of the more readable in the Brian & Kevin series, but Frank Herbert's version of Dune is still the ultimate by far.

Interesting character development. Hope that the topic is taken further. An excellent story, as usual.

Interesting insights to the cultures of India. Read it on the recommendation of the instructor of the course that I'm presently taking, "Perspectives on India".
