Great, Debbi, because I do enjoy detective stories. They don't take too much brain power and keep my reading ability going. So, yes, I would love to look through them and BORROW some. Thank you so much.
Hi Debbi, It has been awhile since I read it. I also remember being inspired by his sacrifice to make a difference in the lives of these girls. There are not many who will go those lengths to help others. By the way, it is never too late to donate to a good cause!
Glad you enjoyed it. I got REALLY bored with it about a third of the way through.[br/]L
I looked at your posts a few days ago and you mentioned a book you listened to 17 CDs or so, couldn't find it today, what is the title.? Thanks
I like this site - we need to get the rest of the group to join too! See you Wednesday!
I am reading Sara Paretsky's latest V I Warshaski novel Hardball and am really enjoying it. Paretsky is a professor at the University of Chicago. Her novels are all set there. Since I am familiar with Chicago, the setting is also interesting to me. Each novel seems better than the last. Anyone who enjoys mystery stories will probably enjoy it. Her novels like those of T. Jefferson Parker are a little more literary than the usual mystery novel.
Just finished Sweetness in the Belly, I loved it. I suggested it to my other book club and we are reading it for November. Good luck on Tuesday!
Read the Dog book, Finished it, but I did not like it
