I most often read mysteries, particularly mystery series written by women and/or featuring female sleuths. I tend to prefer cozies, but enjoy an FBI thriller on occasion. Mysteries set in different time periods are also favorites, including these:

Just finished it! I really liked it a lot. Held my interest with a plot challenging enough for me to have to pay attention, but not so complex that I was confused like I sometimes was with the "Girl with the..." series (Larson.) I found his characters interesting but within reasonble to relate to. The setting in Door County made it even more fun to read.

Added Michael Perry's books to my shelf - I think you'll love them all; also google him on NPR to hear him on UW-M, he has also been on Whaddya Know on Wisconsin Public Radio

Don't find his writing engaging, he writes in such general terms that I don't find it helpful, not a fan LOL

Have generally enjoyed her books - seems like a lot of these characters have a true blue current boyfriend/husband but the ex-husband is always whacko - hmmm... writing about real life??

Also looking for a new series to read - went to library yesterday and didn't find anything that looked interesting. Why can't my favorite authors just write books faster!!!

Loved reading Lord Peter Wimsey books years ago - remember seeing the shows on PBS and thinking that the characters matched the picture I had of them - and that doesn't happen too often

I read about half of Daily Five at beginning of summer, but stopped there. I'm going to use my last week of freedom to read FICTION for FUN because I don't get nearly as much time for pleasure reading during the school year.
