I am a student seeking a degree in Biology and Anthropology. I'm interested in linguistics, conservation, ecosystems, exo- and astrobiology, space travel, climate change, and various topics in history not limited to Pre-European Americas and the Maritime Empires. Animal communication is another soft spot, whether you be the microbial sort or not. The rise of intelligence. The rise and mechanisms of civilizations. Maps, I love maps. History of infectious diseases. Old travel logs and reading Mayan glyphs. And, embarassingly, there is always more.
Fictionally speaking, I am drawn to dystopia and sci-fi, sometimes alternate history, anything weird or strange, really. Myths, especially long-lived, culturally embedded myths from all over the Earth. Off-the-beaten trail sort of stuff. Epics. Fictional accounts of historical periods. However, I will take a stab at pretty much anything. Any good stab in any kind of setting or genre, actually.
My shelf is heavy on the "will read" side. My account is new and I am still trying to gather all that I've previously enjoyed.
