My name is Lauren and I'm 26 years old. I'm an accountant for an electrical contractor in the Chicagoland area. In my spare time I love to read - mostly mystery/crime/suspense and some chick lit. Hey Lauren, Did you ever finish Time Traveler? I never started reading it, I can't get motivated to read it. I need to hear something good about it I guess.

Oh I'm excited for the discussion too! James Patterson is great for mystery/suspense type books. I'm going to read The 8th Confession as soon as my mom finishes it, lol. I've recently found another good author in that genre named Ted Dekker. He is a Christian writer but his books aren't real preachy. I love that the books are awesome AND clean!

I like your new picture!! Is it from vacation? I totally enjoyed Twenties Girl. I zoomed through it so fast, I want to re-read it. I loaned it to a friend though. I know I can't wait to discuss it either. I think there will be alot to talk about, it was such a fun book.

Good morning! No I haven't started it yet, I'm actually planning on reading ReneeK's when she is done. How have you been? We talked about getting together on Skype to discuss Belong To Me tomorrow night. But even if you haven't read it, you should still join the discussion. We had a lot of fun last time getting to know each other! Let me know if you are interested and I can add your Skype name to the contact list.

    Take care,

Hey there, this is my first Sopie Kinsella book I read. Everyone raves about the Shopaholic series, but I haven't read those. Maybe I will once I read Twenties Girl.
The discussion is at the end of the month.

lHey Lauren, are you planning to read Twenties Girl? You should try to read it for August. The Skype book discussion was real fun for July. I think we are having another discussion this Saturday for Belong To Me if you want to try and join in on that one.

Yeah! Actually my friend had seen your profile and thought we had read many of the same books so she sent me your link so I could check it out. I'm starting to get a little overwhelmed with the growing stacks of books I need to read, lol. I keep finding good ones at garage sales so I stock up!

I went ahead and sent you an invite to all 3 of my groups. The "No Time for Bookmarks!" group is actually the only one I started. The other 2 were groups I am a member of, whose adminstrators are no longer on Shelfari. Since there was no way of merging the 3 groups I just became an administrator for all of them.

It is nice meeting other people around the same age that enjoy the same kind of books! In fact one of my best friends that is also on Shelfari has alot of the same books as you. Here name is Renee K and she is in the No Time for Bookmarks bookclub.

I really do enjoy Shelfari! I hadn't read any books since I was a young teen, and then about a year ago I picked it up again. Since then I've been addicted. It's been a very useful tool for me to find other books people have read and to hear if they liked the book before I go out and get a copy. I also like that you can write a review/ rate the book/ and especially keep track of when you finished the book.

Take care and if you have any questions just let me know!

It's nice to meet you too! I saw you've read most of the James Patterson Women's Murder Club books, how do you like them? A good friend of mine recommended them to me and I've picked up a copy of 1-4 but I haven't started them yet. I also am planning on reading Emily Giffin's books starting with Something Borrowed, do you like that series?

    Take care,
