As a kid I used to have a pile of library books next to my bed every weekend; now I have to buy books at library sales so I can keep them for the few months it takes to read each one.

I have read Isaac Asimov both in his fiction worlds (i.e. Foundation Trilogy (er... Quintology), The Robot novels and stories, etc.) and his non fiction which I really loved. He has always been to me - The Great Communicator. Once, during school, I had a test on Logarithms but did not feel at all comfortable with them. The night before the test I remember reading the chapter on logs in Asimov's 'Realm of Number'. That really helped me on the test!

To this day, his name on anything will instantly catch my eye and bring back the fond memories (and current memories) of his books. « less
