Got here when I saw you were listed as having "Wonder" by RJ Palacio and I had to see how that was possible, as it's only being published next year... And then I saw you work for Random :)
I started the proof copy at work today and after just two chapters decided that I had to finish reading it - seems magnificent.
Rather like what you have on your shelf (even though I spotted a Stephenie Meyer... :/ ) :P
I love the first part of atonement but not the war part. I love the war part of Birdsong but not the first part. Atonements conclusion is head-spinningly awesome. Birdsong ends with a kind of peaceful euphoria. Quality all round though.
That's interesting, I have only heard bad things about the Birdsong play. But I really recommend you watch the Atonement film if you haven't seen it already. You will love it. I bought you a present (just a DVD of something) for your birthday and I thought Sarah was going to wrap it and send it to you along with her present. But so far she has refused to do this. I think she must be evil.
