This is my new favorite book! I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Wonder! Auggie Pullman's story is going to make you smile, cry, and laugh out loud. A must read for everyone, not just young adults!

I thought the book was slow to start and develop, however the character Elijah grows on you with every turn of the page. By the end I was crying! Good book!!!

I thought this was a clever story. Matthew Cody keeps you reading with cliff hangers at the end of most chapters.

I thoroughly enjoyed Grisham's venture into writing for young adults. I found it entertaining and well written.

Book two is definitely better than book one!

I would rate this book as "Ok". I can see where kids would like it, but given the primary audience, I didn't think some of the language was appropriate. Especially on pg. 74 where the author writes, "Man, I wanted some of those @!#&* Cheetos!!" I didn't find that necessary. Clever idea though of tying Star Wars and origami together though.

An excellent finale to the Traveling Pants series. Ann Brashares had me crying by pg. 70.

Many chapters were very witty and clever, but I felt the book had a disappointing ending. It was like Gutman ran out of ideas and the book just came to an abrupt end.

  • Among the Betrayed

I didn't like that Margaret Peterson Haddix strayed away from Luke as the main character in this book. It was still an interesting read, but I wanted to continue Luke's story from books 1 and 2.

  • The Rumpelstiltskin Problem

I am always looking for alternate versions of fairy tales to share with my students. This book was ok; some versions of the new Rumpelstiltskin were good while others were so so. The best part was the author's note at the beginning...that had me laughing out loud!
